Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from heaven, you that live in the heights above .Praise him all his angels, all his heavenly armies. Praise him sun and moon; praise him shining stars. Praise him, highest heavens, and the waters above the sky. Young women and young men, old people and children too. Let them all praise the name of the Lord! His name is greater than all others; his glory is above earth and heaven.
-Psalm 124:1, 2, 3, 12, 13
Dear Parents,
Happy Easter season!
This month the children will hear the stories of Thomas, cast you net on the other side of the boat, I know my sheep, and Love on another just as I have loved you.
April 4th - Registration for summer and the 2016-2017 school year begins. There will be a table set up in the hall with all the information you will need. We have curriculum outlines for each class, a new brochure, and an updated schedule of special days and days we are closed.
Registration is on a first come, first enrolled basis. I can only hold a spot for your child for the fall if the one page registration form is filled out and the materials fee is paid.
Registration for summer is easy as well. Fill out the summer registration form and return. There is no registration or materials fee for our summer program.
In-house registration is from April 4th – April 15th
April 5th - Spring Picture Day at S.T.E.P.
Children may come dressed in their Sunday best for pictures. If Tuesday is not your child’s regular day, you may bring them in just for pictures at 10:00 am or sometime before 11:00 am Siblings are welcome. Kindergartners will also be photographed in a cap and gown for graduation. All children will remain inside until pictures have been taken. Say Cheese!
Our curriculum and in-service training on the 28th of March was very productive. The summer curriculum has been set so now we can work on activities and implementation. The Bible story/ Chapel curriculum is complete through the month of July. Plans were put in place for Graduation, a parent night out and Classroom updates that will start soon and continue over the summer.
Parent survey results are in. Pick up your copy on the welcome table at the entrance.
Your ideas and comments are valued and important. Positive changes are coming. I will try to take things a little slower.
God answers Prayers. Thank you for all your prayers and intentions that are placed in our prayer jar. Our children like praying for their friends and families.
Coming soon-- Tuition payment box mounted on the wall, suggestion box, and business card networking area for parents.
Calendar dates – All school Graduation Friday June 10th at 10am Reception to follow in the hall. Everyone is invited to this end of the school year celebration.
I have two small projects for someone who likes to work with wood. The projects may be taken home or completed here at school. Each project will take approximately 45 minutes to one hour depending on the type of tools you have. A screw gun, skill saw are all that is required. All necessary materials will be provided. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!
Parent reminders--
Please sign in and out each day with a full signature
Please check the parent board by our child’s class to stay informed of all the wonderful activities here at S.T.E.P. “The Little School with the Big Heart”
