Dear Parents,
Welcome to the month of September. The teachers and I are ready for a new, faith-filled, fun school year. We will be using a folder system to help you and your child’s teacher communicate more efficiently. We have added new small group activities in all the classrooms which will focus on cognitive skills. We are continuing to give each classroom a face lift. The Little Ladybug Class is almost finished. Next will be the Super Star Class.
The Bible stories for this month are: The woman who loses a silver coin, Creation/God made me, Adam and Eve, St. Michael and all Angels.
Classes here at STEP are filling up fast. We have 1 full time spot and 2 part time spots in the Busy Bee Class and 1 full time spot and 3 part time spots in the Super Star class. I f you would like to make a schedule change please come in and talk with me before the spots are gone. Thanks!
September 2nd -- School is closed ---Teacher in-service training for CPR and first aid followed by a curriculum meeting.
Pizza Tuesdays will continue in September. Please fill out the attached order form and place it in the tuition box along with payment.
September 20th –Back to School Night—This Family event will begin at 5:30pm with a pizza dinner. Then the children will go with the dance teacher and amazing athletes teacher to enjoy a free class. Parents will go into their child’s classroom to hear about curriculum for the year, folders, upcoming activities, and opportunities for you to be a parent helper.
September 23rd—School Pictures—please dress your child in “picture clothes” on this day. The photographer will be ready to start at 9 am. She will do individual and family photos. If this is not a regular school day for you, please bring your child in between 9-10:30 am. This is the only opportunity for fall pictures (no make up day) we want everyone to be included in the class composite photo. Do not send money on picture day. About a week after the “photo shoot” you will receive picture proofs. If you decide to purchase, return the envelope and payment to a teacher or place it in the box on the office door. Thanks!
Looking ahead to October… We are planning a fall festival. Want to help? We need lots of parent helpers and ideas for this fun event. It will be Friday October 21st. We will need donations from local businesses and help with set up and take down. The fall festival planning meeting will be September 16th at 5pm in the Kindergarten room Hope to see you there.
