Dear Parents,
Welcome to the month of September. The teachers and I are ready for a new, faith-filled, fun school year. We will continue to use a folder system to help you and your child’s teacher communicate more efficiently. We have added new small group activities in all the classrooms which will focus on cognitive skills. We are continuing to give each classroom a face lift. The Super Star Class will be next.
The Bible stories for this month are: God made the world, God made me; God gave me my School, God made the Angels.
The Toddler option program will hopefully be up and running soon. I am waiting for Licensing to come and look at the classroom and sign us off. As soon as that happens I will let you know. This is an exciting change for the school. We are always looking for new ideas to help parents with their child care needs. J
Classes here at STEP are filling up fast. We have 3 part time spots in the Busy Bee Class, 2 spots in the Little Ladybug class, and 4 full time spots in the Super Star class. I f you would like to make a schedule change please come in and talk with me before the spots are gone. Thanks!
Please continue to order SCRIP. We are fundraising for a laminating machine. Orders are due Monday Mornings.
Please continue to recycle your plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
Pizza Tuesdays will continue in September. Please fill out the attached order form and place it in the tuition box along with payment. Fettuccini Fridays will continue in September.
September 15th –Back to School Night—This Family event will begin at 6:00pm with a pizza dinner. Then the children will go with Miss Sandra, Mrs. Hogan and some helpers out on the playground for a short while then the Amazing Athletes teacher will come and teach a free class. Parents will go into their child’s classroom to hear about curriculum for the year, upcoming activities, and opportunities for you to be a parent helper.
September 12th --School Pictures—please dress your child in “picture clothes” on this day. The photographer will be ready to start at 8 am. She will do individual and family photos. If this is not a regular school day for you, please bring your child in between 11-11:30 am. This is the only opportunity for fall pictures (no make-up day) we want everyone to be included in the class composite photo. Do not send money on picture day. About a week after the “photo shoot” you will receive picture proofs. If you decide to purchase, return the envelope and payment to a teacher or order on-line Thanks!
