From the Director's Desk
Thank you to all of our families who turned out for our second annual Trunk or Treating. A special thanks to our families who hosted their car’s trunk for this event. We are grateful to you for giving the children such wonderful memories. Our Thanksgiving potluck feast will be on Thursday, November 19 at11:30 for the Care Bears and Busy Bees, and Friday, November 20 for the Super Stars and Kindergarten. Please watch for sign-ups in your child’s classroom.
Please also try to check out our website and/or like us on Facebook. It’s a great way to stay connected to your child’s school experience, and keep abreast of all the new happenings at STEP. Believe me, there never seems to be a dull moment!
Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to all of our families here at STEP. As some of you may know, my last day at S.T.E.P. was October 30. It has been a pleasure to serve all of our families at the school, and I leave with many fond memories that I will always cherish. Thank you for sharing your children with us. I will keep all of you and the teachers in my prayers as you begin a fresh relationship with the new school Director.
Blessings to all of you,
Sandi

Busy Bees
Bye, Bye October the month was filled with learning about pumpkins, fire safety, and the night time creepy crawlies. The trick or trunk was a special treat; all the children looked great in their costumes
We were truly busy as can be!
In November we will learn about the first Thanksgiving and sharing what we are thankful for. We will
continue to do Fall activities, learn about squirrels, scarecrows, andwhy leaves fall off the tree.
We will have a long month unit on the five senses and have on hands exploration activities at the science area.
Our Special November prayer will be:
“As we gather at the table we bow our heads and pray,
We thank God for our food and the blessing of the day.”
Amen
I thought I let you know what I am thankful for: My family, God, our country, our school, the children here, their parents, and teachers.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Elizabee
Just a reminder, it is a little cool in the morning so please send a sweater for your child or just keep one in the cubbie. Don’t forget to write their name in the inside label.
Super Stars
This month reminds us all to be Thankful. We will be going down on the farm and learning about the food you would find growing during fall time and animals. Also we will be learning about the very first Thanksgiving and talking about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. We will finish out the month with our Thanksgiving Feast (TBA) I hope you all will join us.
Kindergarten
As Fall finally brings cooler weather, we thank God for His many blessings. The children are learning about the character trait of “thankfulness” and learning our Bible memory verse: “You are my God and I will give you thanks.” Psalms 118:28.
The month is a busy one as we are doing great with our phonics lessons, and are developing a good vocabulary, enabling us to read and write short words and sentences.
We will also create some fun art works to decorate our room, and looking forward to our big Thanksgiving feast on November 20. We hope to see all of our families at this yearly event!
May everyone have a blessed Thanksgiving,
Mrs. Hogan
