From the Director's Desk
Happy February! We are now well into the New Year, and the classrooms are buzzing with all the new experiences and learning activities going on. All the teachers have an action-packed month planned, so watch for upcoming events in your child’s classroom. We also have some new friends beginning school this month. Be sure to give them a friendly hello!
Thank you all so much for all that you do. We cherish our families, and are so glad you choose to share your children with us!

Busy bees
Welcome to the month of February. We will begin predicting “Will the groundhog see his Shadow?” Will there be six more weeks of winter or early spring?
February is a month full of hearts, love and friendship. The children will be practicing their cutting and gluing skills. When using glue they try to remember “A dot, a dot, not a lot”. Remember that writing Valentine cards is a fun opportunity for your child to practice writing his or her name! You can write their name with a highlighter and let them path trace.
Look for information on our Valentine Party.
February is also Dental month. We will be talking about how to keep our smiles bright and healthy.
We will learn about President’s day and have a unit on the weather
February is all a Buzz with love and fun activities!
Love one another as has I have Loved you!! John 15:12

Love is in the air in the Super Star room. This month we will be learning about: Groundhogs day (did Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow?) How to be a friend and loving each other as the bible says “A Friend loves at all times” Proverbs17:17. We will be having our Valentines Dance and card exchange on February 12th. This month we will be learning about our past/present Presidents and Dental Health.

The first theme for the month is Ground Hog Day. We will talk about how long Winter might last. Valentine's Day will be celebrated on Friday the 13th with a party and Valentine Exchange in our class. The following Monday is President's Day and we will have the day off. We will be learning about the 2 presidents whose birthdays we have the holiday for, Washington and Lincoln. We have already named them when we started learning about money. We will continue to improve our phonics and reading skills and start writing short paragraph stories.
Our Bible trait this month is perseverance, shown by Noah when he built the ark. Our Bible verse is: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." Ecclesiastes9:20. Our slogan will be "I'll do right with all my might."
Blessings and Love,
Mrs. Hogan
