From the Director's Desk
I would like to thank all of our families who attended Back To School Night in September. I was impressed by the turn-out, and so happy we could all connect to better serve your child’s needs.
October will be another action-packed month for us here at S.T.E.P. On Tuesday, October 14, Fire Station 92 will pay us a visit with their fire engine to show all the children up close what a fire fighter does to keep us all safe. On Friday, October 31, we will hold our annual trunk-or-treating festivities, and hope you all can attend. (Even if your child doesn’t attend regularly on Fridays, they are more than welcome to participate in trunk-or-treating, provided a parent stays with them.)
Again, thank you to all our supportive parents , who make such a difference in the lives of the children. We are all so grateful for the opportunity to work together with you.
For the children,
Sandi Schubert, S.T.E.P. Director

Just Buzzing through the Fall….
First I’ll like to Thank you for coming to Back-to-School night. I hope it was informative and that questions were answered. September was a fun filled month; our highlights were Germy wormy. The spray bottle helped us understand what happens when we don’t cover when we sneeze or cough .”yucky” the children said. With Apple Galore we learned apples grow on trees- they come in many colors and taste different. Yummy!
October is fire Safety month. We will learn about firefighters and how to keep safe. Along with Firefighters we will also learn about our Community Helpers. Fall is a time for pumpkins, spiders bats and cats. Oh My! We will end the month by celebrating Halloween at school with Trunk-o-Treat. (More information to come.)
Happy Fall!

super stars
Happy Fall! In the midst of the leaves changing; the super stars will be learning that even though the leaves may change color, His love for us will never change. This month we will also learn about community helpers. With a special visit from the fire department and fun exploring pumpkins. We will finish out the month with our second annual "trunk-o-treat" details to come.

I’m looking forward to cooler Fall days after our September heat. Our room will start to look like Fall with our art work. We are beginning to learn simple words by sounding out the letters and reading them! Our October character trait is “faith,” the Bible verse is “I trust in your unfailing love.” Psalms 13:5. Our slogan this month is “I believe God loves me.” We will be learning about the special gifts God has given to us in our world.
Blessings to you all,
Mrs. Hogan
