Happy New Year to all of our wonderful families! Some of you may notice some new faces at school, and we welcome all of our new friends to the Saint Thomas family.
We have a wonderful year planned for you and your children, and can’t wait to share some new memories with you. We thank all of our parents who are labeling their children’s coats and jackets. This makes it easier for us to keep everyone’s belongings straight!
Thank you all for helping us have a great holiday season this past year – we are so blessed to have you in our lives.
Here’s to a great 2015!!!

Care Bears
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas break. The Care Bears will kick off the New Year by reviewing our colors and shapes. Then we will be exploring about the joys of winter. From hats and mittens, snowflakes to snowmen, and even learning about arctic animals. The fun will never end! We will be having a pajama day, teddy bear play day, and a mini movie day as well. Please see the monthly calendar for these fun up coming events.

Happy New Year!
This month we will be learning about Winter. We will have fun with snowmen, snowflakes, and will have a pretend “California” snowball fight. We will incorporate math concepts and science into our month. We will be doing a unit on hibernation and learn about the animals that hibernate. We will finish out the month making our own cave and each child will bring a stuffed animal to hibernate in it until spring.
God bless, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. P

Kindergarten
Happy New Year, everyone! We have a busy month, starting out with our 100th Activity Day on January 13. Our theme this month is Winter, Snow, and Animals in Cold Weather. In math we are learning about coins and counting money. We are reading and writing sentences, and will have spelling tests also.
Our character trait this month is honesty. The Bible verse is “The Lord detests lying lips, but delights in men who are truthful.” Proverbs 12:22. The slogan is “In all I do I’ll say what’s true.”
God bless,
Mrs. Hogan
